Your Promise of Love

I believe this song was the first song with stanza, refrain and chorus.  'Your Promise of Love' is loaded with doctrine.  The lyrics speak volumes.  Also, the song is in what I call the personal plural.  Individuals sing it together.  I’m staking my claim with others.  It is also the first song where I express the desire to hear the Lord Jesus himself to sing.  Wouldn’t that be awesome?
