What Manner of Love 

'What Manner of Love' is one of my all time, favorites.  This is extremely difficult because I enjoy all the songs that God has given to me.  It is also the favorite of many others. 

When I came to 1 John 3:1, the passage exploded in my heart for a song.  And it is especially lovely concerning the chorus in which I refer to God as Love.  This is a beautiful song and a favorite of many who have heard it.  Bev (my wife) harmonizes with me for specials.

The song came to me as I was immersed in God’s love.  I was praying before I had been flooded to overflowing and received into manifestation the gift of Holy Spirit speaking with tongues.  Being overwhelmed with God’s love this song came to me quickly based on 1 John 3:1.

Then two years later, praying to God and expressing how much I loved him, I began to say “I love you, I love you, I love you,” continually.  I began speaking so fast that it amazed me that I could speak so fast.  Then, the realization came that it was not me who was expressing my love to God, but God expressing his love to me, which I could hardly bear.  I wept.  After this I better understood this lovely song, but still ponder at the manner of God’s love to us.
