We’ll Be Walking
Worthy
1 Thessalonians 2:12
says,
“That
ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and
glory.”
Walking worthy brings
freedom, unity and harmony. I believe a great problem for
Christianity is that the Bible is not read let alone meditated on.
If you don’t know what to do or not do, you can’t walk and won’t walk.
In Ephesians 4:17, 18
Paul tells us that believers are
“not
to walk as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their minds. Having
the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through
the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to
work all uncleanness with greediness.”
We are not to be
motivated by self through greed or sensuality, but it is to be held in
favorable estimation by God. Worthy has to do with weight for value
and worth. Our walk is to have worth in God’s eyes. This song
encourages us to walk worthy according to our calling.
