Sowing To The Spirit

'Sowing To The Spirit' is one of my Spirit songs which came to me before I received into manifestation the gift of the Holy Spirit.  I know the Scriptures of Galatians 6:7-10 as we had explained them in Exegesis class in Seminary.  The basic thought is this: Each of us reveals to all others the state we are in by what we are sowing.  We either sow to the Spirit or the flesh.  Be sure of this one thing.  A harvest is coming one way or the other.

The song is about confession.  What we believe, we confess.  What we confess reveals our faith.  This song came to me as I sang wrote it.  The words came easily and seemed to write themselves with the melody.  I confess I am going to be sowing to the Spirit.

This is one of my favorite songs.  It is a joy to sing and I use a harmonica interlude after the second verse chorus in my arrangement.
