I Saw The Light

Before I was saved, I had heard and even owned a copy of sheet music of Hank William’s song, 'I Saw The Light'.  I wonder how he could have written such a song?  He told Minnie Pearl, a short time before his death, that all he could see was darkness. 

Men love darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.  The only way to come to the light is to do truth.  Anyone who is redeemed must say so (Psalms 107:2).

The light of the world is Jesus and I just had to craft a song about this.  Two songs exist.  The same words, but different melodies.  The first version is heavy and for boding and comes into the light.  The second version is happy, light and joyous.  It seems everybody likes the second version best.  I like them both.
