Follow Me
'Follow Me' is a very
powerful song. Jesus often told individuals simply, follow me.
This is the first song that I wrote that could be classified as a secular
song as well as a Christian exhortation and concern.
I was flooded with
Isaiah 57:20, 21 where he says unbelievers are like the troubled sea, when
it cannot rest. God says they will not have peace. Also, Amos 8:11-12 speaks of a famine in the land, but not of bread. It is a famine
of hearing the words of the Lord. So people will run to and fro to
seek the word of the Lord, and they shall not find it. One of the
marks of the last days is people without natural affection 2 Timothy tells
us. These things are coming to pass before our eyes.
All the things in 'Follow
Me', I have seen. Yet in the midst of all these things, I remember
Jesus’ Words, Follow Me! I’m concerned where lives are going.
How about you?
